Course Description:

Psychiatric Roadmap for PTSD: Brain + Medication Insights is a CE training, that discusses how trauma at different stages of development can impact important brain circuits related to fear learning and processing, which impact PTSD severity and treatment. Current treatment recommendations are discussed with a broad overview of commonly prescribed medications for PTSD and related symptoms. Plus an exciting discussion of new and emerging treatments with ketamine and MDMA and why these therapies are successful in treating PTSD.

Continuing Education is provided by Jessica Beachkofsky, MD/Beach Health, PLLC. Upon successful completion of this course you will receive 1 CE.

Social Workers: We have applied for consideration of 1 hour of clinical CE credit through ASWB ACE

About the Instructor:

Dr. Jessica Beachkofsky is a board-certified psychiatrist licensed in Florida, Texas, and Indiana who has been practicing for over 15 years. She has a passion for psychoeducation, whether with colleagues or for patients. She served in the Air Force for 12 years, beginning her training at the military's medical school and completing residency in San Antonio, Texas.

Dr. Beachkofsky’s experience includes working in military and veteran outpatient clinics, running an inpatient psychiatric hospital unit, virtual corrections care, and working in online clinics. She’s previously held adjunct professor positions and taught in the graduate medical education program providing medical student, intern, and resident training as well as grand rounds for continuing medical education units.

Dr. Beachkofsky loves the brain and learning and teaching about mental health. She wants you to feel excited by what we're learning in psychiatry and also wants your clients to benefit from this too so please share what you learn with them!

    Course Completion and CE Info:

    Participants must watch the entire course and complete a course evaluation and post-test to earn CE credit. The evaluation and post-test will be emailed after the course is completed. A certificate of completion will be emailed upon completion of the course evaluation and post-test if a passing score of at least 80% is received within a maximum of 3 attempts.
